The Monroe-Randolph Regional Office of Education is sponsoring the annual Spelling Contest for schools in our two counties. We are offering the opportunity to all of our schools to participate.

The Spelling Contest will be held at Gardner Elementary on Thursday, March 31, 2016. Students from grades five, six, seven, and eight are eligible to participate in this contest. Each school may enter one student per grade, for a total of four students.

School supervisors/representatives and competing students should report to the gymnasium at Gardner for an orientation assembly on March 31, 2016 beginning at 5:45 p.m.

The first and second place winner from each grade level will receive a trophy. Third place winners will receive a red ribbon. All contestants will receive a blue ribbon and certificate of participation to be presented immediately following the contest.

We ask that all contestants remain after the contest to receive their award.
